Best International Symposium Award 2019 to AUEB's Associate Professor Eleni Apospori

Eleni Apospori, Associate Professor at AUEB’s Department of Marketing and Communication, was awarded the Best International Symposium Award 2019 at the 79^th Annual Meeting of the Academy of Management (9-13 August 2019, Boston, USA) for the symposium Comparing Careers Across Countries: New Scholarship and Directions co-organised with Professor Maike Andresen of the University of Bamberg, Germany and Professor Jon Briscoe of Northern Illinois University, USA.

In the symposium there were presented 5 invited research papers, two of which prof. Apospori has coauthored. The symposium was ranked first out of 433 symposia based on the following criteria:

1. Design and organization show strong evidence of excellent research collaboration between scholars from different countries;
2. Offers new theoretical insights, is rich in observation, and employs creative methodologies;
3. Theme and content reflect an awareness of business and management outside domestic boundaries.
