World Chinese Language Conference

From November 15th to 17th, the 2024 World Chinese Language Conference was held at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Chinese Vice President Han Zheng attended the opening ceremony, read a congratulatory letter from President Xi Jinping, and delivered a speech. Vice Rector of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), Professor Leonidas Doukakis, attended the conference in Beijing at the invitation of the Center for Language Education and Cooperation and the Chinese International Education Foundation.

On November 17th, the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) held 2024 Joint Conference of UIBE International Chinese Language Education. Vice Rector of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), Professor Leonidas Doukakis, delivered a speech firstly as the representative of international partners, sharing a part of an overview of the Athens Business Confucius Institute’s annual work. Following the meeting, the President of UIBE, Professor Zhao Zhongxiu and Vice President, Prodfessor Wang Qiang held productive discussions with the Vice Rector of AUEB, Professor Leonidas Doukakis, regarding cooperation between the two universities in academic exchanges and talent development. Both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening their collaboration, building on the successful partnership in co-establishing the Athens Business Confucius Institute, and taking their cooperation to a new level.
