Dalakleidi Kalliopi

Kalliopi V. Dalakleidi received her Diploma from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) in 2005. She was awarded a scholarship by the State Scholarships Foundation for her doctoral dissertation (2012–2017) entitled “Development of Clinical Decision Support Systems for Diabetes Management”. In 2017, her team won first prize in the innovation competition of Intrasoft International. Since 2012, she has been involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate courses —initially as a Ph.D. candidate and later as a postdoctoral researcher—in the Biomedical Simulations and Imaging Laboratory of the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NTUA. For the period 2022–2024, she has also co-taught courses in the english-language postgraduate program “Translational Engineering in Health and Medicine” at NTUA, specifically “Research Methodology,” “Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare,” and “Medical Imaging and Image Analysis.” Since 2021, she has been also collaborating with the Department of Food Science and Technology at the University of the Peloponnese towards the authentication of local food products with explainable artificial intelligence. She is the co-author of 18 publications in international scientific journals and conferences. Since 2023, she is also an employee of the Department of Integrated Information Systems of the Directorate of Digital Governance of the Athens University of Economics and Business. She has served as a reviewer for eight scientific journals and six international conferences. She has been a longstanding member of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). She has also served as the Chair of the IEEE Greece Section Women in Engineering Affinity Group (2020–2023). Her research interests include explainable artificial intelligence, clinical decision support systems, and smart sensor networks.
