Integrated Library System as a Service (ILSaS)
The AUEB Library participates in the activities of the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link (HEAL link) "Creation of a Central Framework for the delivery of an Integrated Library System as a Service (ILSas) (Integrated Library System as Service, ILSaS)".
The main goals of these activities are to share resources and to provide modern support services for the educational and research work in the twenty-six Universities in Greece that participate.
Implementation of these activities brings significant benefits with tremendous added value:
- Unified and Integrated Library System
- Collaborative catalogue
- Common policies for library services, such as acquisition, cataloging, subject indexing, borrowing, and use of resources and tools
- Creation of common file names
- Reliable, fast, easier, and more accurate retrieval of information
