IEEE Xplore Open Access Publishing Webinar for Authors in Greece

IEEE Webinars for Researchers at HEAL-Link Member Institutions

 

As part of the agreement between the Hellenic Academic Libraries Link (HEAL-Link) and IEEE for Open Access publishing, two webinars have been scheduled.

The webinars are addressed to researchers at all levels and will present the IEEE Xplore publisher platform and the publishing process, respectively. The speaker for the webinars will be Eszter Lukács, IEEE Client Services Manager.

1. Advanced Search Techniques for IEEE Xplore – Webinar for Greece

  • Date and Time: Thursday, November 12, 2026, at 15:00 (Greek time)

  • Language: English

  • Description: During this webinar, you will explore the IEEE Xplore platform and learn how to shape your search, identify keywords and synonyms, use Boolean operators, and use wildcards to ensure more comprehensive results.

2. IEEE Xplore Open Access Publishing Webinar for Authors in Greece

  • Date and Time: Monday, November 16, 2026, at 14:00 (Greek time)

  • Language: English

  • Description: The webinar will present the opportunities offered to researchers in Greece to enhance the visibility and impact of their research by publishing in one of the many Open Access options offered by IEEE. Additionally, you will learn how to publish by taking advantage of the agreement between HEAL-Link and IEEE to cover Open Access publishing costs (Article Processing Charges - APCs).

Topics to be covered:

  • Tips for choosing the appropriate publishing venue within IEEE.

  • Information on what journal editors look for and why an article might be rejected during peer review.

  • Tools and resources that support authors throughout the publishing process.

  • How to publish using the HEAL-Link Open Access agreement to cover APCs.
