Extension to temporary electronic access to thousands of electronic books on the MIT Press Direct platform until June 30, 2020
We would like to inform you that the Library has asked MIT Press Direct to provide free access to the AUEB community for the 2.770 e-books on the MIT Press Direct platform until June 30, 2020. This is one of the actions taken by the Library to support distance learning during the Coronavirus. Remote access to content will be provided exclusively to the members of the AUEB community with authentication via VPN.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Publishers can revoke, at any time that they wish, free access to content that they have and, consequently, it may not be possible to access the content wherever it is not covered by a subscription by HEAL-Link or the Library. Please follow the guidelines for proper use as incidents of improper use may result in free access being revoked. Systematic storage of entire books or journals is not allowed.
Information about subscription electronic sources that offer open access for a limited time because of the measures in place to prevent the spread of the coronavirus will be continuous and will be updated at every opportunity. Please follow the announcements on the Library’s web site.
