Poulymenakou Angeliki

Angeliki Poulymenakou is Professor in Management of Information Systems at the Department of Management Science and Technology, and the Dean of the AUEB School of Business. She has served as a tenure track Lecturer in Information Systems at the London School of Economics and Political Science. She holds a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Athens, and a Master of Science and a PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science.

Her research interests focus on the relationship between digital technologies and the transformation of organizations. In this context, she has focused on issues of technological intervention in the fields of organizational knowledge and learning, the study of organizational and business networking from the perspective of technological innovation in Greece and Europe, the impact of e-government on citizens' trust in the government in Brazil and India, and the effects of digital micro-entrepreneurship for socio-economic development in China.

In recent years she has participated and coordinated more than 20 research and development projects with international and Greek funding. She has also advised the European Commission, the United Nations Development Organization (UNIDO), the Inter-American Development Bank, and the Greek State. Her published work includes articles in leading journals in the field of Information Systems and Management (ABS 4), collective volumes, book chapters, studies, and numerous papers in international conferences. She is a member of the editorial board of distinguished journals (ABS 4) in the field of information systems (EJIS, JIT).  She has been a member of the scientific committee of the most important conferences in the field of Information Systems (ICIS, ECIS).  She was the president of the organizing committee of two conferences of the International Organization for Information Processing (IFIP) held in Athens.
