Theodoros D. Bratis is an Assistant Professor in Applied Macroeconomics at the Department of Business Administration of the Athens University of Economics and Business. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Piraeus (2004), a Master's degree in Financial Analysis for Executives from the University of Piraeus (2011) and a PhD in Monetary Policy and International Financial Markets from the Athens University of Economics (2015).

He was an adjunct lecturer and postdoctoral researcher at the Athens University of Economics and Business. In addition, he has published in recognized international scientific journals such as the Journal of Financial Stability, Oxford Economic Papers, Journal of International Financial Markets Institutions and Money etc. and has a significant number of participations in international scientific conferences. He is a reviewer of international scientific journals and has been a member of the Eastern Finance Association Conference Committee. In addition, he has participated in national research projects.

His research interests focus on: Macrofinance, Fiscal and Monetary policy, Financial Stability, International Economics, International Capital and Financial Markets, Applied Econometrics (with emphasis in Time Series modelling), Banking.
