Dr. Xenia Mamakou serves as a Laboratorial Teaching Staff (EDIP) member at the Department of Business Administration of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), and is also a member of the Business Informatics Laboratory (BILab) at AUEB. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration from AUEB, an MSc with Distinction in Business Information Technology from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology (UMIST), UK, and a PhD in Information Systems from the Department of Business Administration at AUEB.

Dr. Mamakou has participated in numerous research projects and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses on Business Informatics, Decision Making, Business Analytics, Information Systems, and the Internet. She is also the scientific coordinator of an eLearning course offered by AUEB’s Center for Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM), and teaches in three additional programs. She is the author of an academic textbook on data analysis using Excel (published by AUEB) and has published over 30 articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings, focusing on information systems, business analytics, project management, digital transformation, e-commerce, and entrepreneurship.

Her main research interests lie in the areas of business analytics, information systems management, digital transformation and the study of the organizational and social implications of technology use.

Dr. Mamakou has received two awards from AUEB for excellence in undergraduate teaching. She is a member of the University’s Teaching and Learning Support Committee, the Gender Equality and Anti-Discrimination Committee, and has served as Treasurer of the AUEB Faculty Association since 2021.
