Episcopos Athanasios
Athanasios Episcopos is a Professor at the Department of Accounting and Finance of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He holds a doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in economics from State University of New York (SUNY)-Buffalo, USA, (1992), master’s degree (M.A.) in economics from SUNY-Buffalo (1989), master’s degree (M.B.A.) in business administration from Roosevelt University, USA (1987) and a bachelor’s degree (M.Sc.) in mathematics from the University of Athens (1983). He has taught at various USA and Greek universities since 1988. He has served as vice chair at the Department of Accounting and Finance of AUEB and as a senior economist at the National Bank of Greece. He has received a research leadership award from Clarkson University and an excellence-in-teaching award from SUNY-Buffalo. His research interests cover the field of corporate finance with a focus on contingent claims analysis in banking.
