AUEB, the newspaper Financial Times and Europe Direct of the City of Athens organize a public debate on: “The Future of Europe”

Public debate “The Future of Europe”

The Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB), the newspaper Financial Times (FT) and Europe Direct of the City of Athens, on the occasion of the FT Student Essay Contest on the prospects of the European Union, cordially invite you to a public debate on: “The Future of Europe”.
 
The debate will be held in English on Wednesday 22 November 2017, at 5.30pm, at “SERAFEIO” (Pireos & Petrou Ralli Str., Kerameikos Metro Station, Line 3). Speakers: Tony Barber, Europe Editor, FT, Helen Louri, Professor, AUEB, George Pagoulatos, Professor, AUEB, Panos Tsakloglou, Professor, AUEB, Spyros Tsaoussis, student, AUEB, Marilou Chronopoulou, student, AUEB. Yannis Palaiologos, journalist with the newspaper Kathimerini, will moderate the discussion. Welcoming remarks will be delivered by the Mayor of Athens, Georgios Kaminis and by the Rector of AUEB, Emmanouil Giakoumakis.  Awards will be given to the students who participated in the FT Student Essay Contest.
 
The Student Essay Contest on the prospects of the European Union was launched by the newspaper Financial Times in collaboration with six leading universities across Europe – The Athens University of Economics and Business, the Sciences Po (Paris), the Hertie School of Governance (Berlin), the Trinity College (Dublin), the Jagiellonian University (Krakow) and the Bocconi University (Milan) in the context of the initiative: “The Future of Europe Project”. The three best essays will be published in the Financial Times (the first in the print edition and the other two in the online edition of the newspaper).
