Rothoni Anastasia
Dr. Anastasia Rothoni has been teaching Business Communication Theory and Business English at Athens University of Economics and Business since 2021. She holds a B.A. from the Faculty of English Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (2003) and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics (valedictorian) from the same Faculty (2007). She received her PhD in Applied Linguistics (with distinction) from the Faculty of English Studies, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 2015.
She has taught seminars and workshops in the Faculty of English Studies of the University of Athens for undergraduate students and has participated in programs organized for training future English language teachers (Pre-service teacher training programme-Teaching Practicum). Her research interests lie chiefly in the area of (foreign) language and literacy practices, multilingualism, intercultural communication and digital technologies.
Her book Teenagers’ everyday literacy practices in English: Beyond the classroom was published in 2019 by the international publishing house Palgrave Macmillan. She has also authored and co-authored academic papers in peer-reviewed journals (e.g., TESOL Quarterly, Linguistics and Education, Applied Linguistics Review) and chapters in edited volumes and she has presented her work in conferences both in Greece and abroad.
