Advisory Committee

The Advisory Committee, created in the academic year 2016-2017, is a new initiative of our postgraduate program.

The mission of the Advisory Committee will be to advise and support the Director and the Special Interdepartmental Committee of the program, on issues such as the strategy of the program, its relations with the labour market and the HR field in Greece and abroad, etc. In this way we believe that the Advisory Committee will decisively contribute to the further future development and evolution of our postgraduate program.

The Members of the Committee, who are program’s graduates and experienced HR Directors/ Managers in greek and multinational companies, are specifically as follows (alphabetically):

Dora Aggelopoulou, Founder, Learning & Development Architect, Game Tree (Graduate of MSc in Human Resources Management, AUEB)

Dora Aggelopoulou is the founder of Game Tree, a Soft Skills Training and Development company which has been shortlisted in the prestigious Learning Technologies Awards, the most independent and sought-after global awards in the industry. Her career started in 2004. She has worked as a Trainer and a Learning Consultant in large organizations and in Game Tree, receiving honorary distinctions. Dora holds a Bachelor's in Business Economics and a M.Sc. in Human Resource Management (Athens University of Economics and Business). She is Kirkpatrick Certified Professional®, a member of the Hellenic Adult Education Association and a Certified Adult Trainer by EOPPEP. She has received a Diploma in Coaching certified by ICF and a professional accreditation in Experiential Learning by the Institute for Experiential Learning. Her writing work includes the chapter "Shaping the framework in Coaching" of the collective volume Coaching Guide, and her voluntary work includes being a Mentor for Women On Top.

Mary Aslanidi, HR Manager, Greece & HRBP, Hemmersbach

Mary Aslanidi is an experienced multitasking 360o Human Resources professional, inspired, dedicated and passionate about people, companies' most valuable asset. Proven record in Talent Acquisition, T&D, processes and administration, Com&Ben and driven by persistence to quality deliverables. Proven record of ensuring reliability in meeting deadlines, with strong communication and organization skills, driven and decisive, with passion for building and retaining highly effective teams. Talented in bridging gaps between labor forces and management in order to achieve objectives.

Costas Vavaroutas, HR Director, Cenergy Holdings

Costas Vavaroutas has more than 27 years of experience as HR professional and member of executive committees in major companies and organizations. He currently holds the position of HR Senior Director for Cenergy Holdings, overseeing all HR aspects of its portfolio, which consists of Hellenic Cables and Corinth Pipeworks, two companies that are positioned at the forefront of high growth sectors.

Costas holds an MBA and an M.Sc. in HRM, as well as FCMI certification of the UK Chartered Management Institute. He actively supports the HR community by being a full member of the Hellenic HR Management Association, a member of the Executive HRM Advisory Board of Athens University of Economics & Business and a member of the Executive Advisory Board of Job Pairs Mentoring NGO, while he voluntarily participates in mentoring programs for high school students.

Theofilos Vasileiadis

Theofilos Vasileiadis, Founder and CEO Kariera.gr & Socital

Theofilos Vasileiadis is the President and CEO of Kariera.gr as well as the CEO and co-founder of Socital, an AI/Machine Learning software company with operations in London and Athens. In 1997 he founded Kariera.gr, the leading online recruitment company in SE Europe - it was sold in 2007 to CareerBuilder.com and acquired in 2020 by a group of Greek investors including Mr. Vasieliadis - and in 2006 IMI, an events company in Dubai and Saudi Arabia, which was sold in 2014 to private investors. He is a graduate of Harvard Business School for the “Owners/Presidents Management Program (OPM)” in 2010 as well as of Singularity University in California for the “Executive Program” in 2014. In addition to business administration, Mr. Vassileiadis participates in academic conferences, TEDx events, as well as media panels as an expert on strategy and entrepreneurship issues and has expanded his experience in teaching Entrepreneurship and Leadership in a series of educational seminars in Greece and India.

Peggy Velliotou, Partner, Consulting, KPMG

Peggy, Partner since 2008, is responsible for the Executive Search and Selection, BOD services and Executive on Boarding. She has carried out more than 14.000 interviews and successfully placed 2.500 executives at various positions in Greece and abroad. Her team is made up of colleagues with valuable sectoral experience and deep knowledge of the market. In addition, since 2020 she has taken on the role of Head of People (HoP), internally for KPMG Greece.

Peggy’s training delivery experience at KPMG spans a variety of fields and is targeted to executives from different sectors. She has participated in Assessment/Development Centres in assessing Directors and C-Level excecutives.

She started her professional career in 1991 with GOOD YEAR HELLAS in the Finance Department. In 1995 she joined SHELL HELLAS as Business Analyst in the Retail Department. In 1997, she participated in the Greek team that became the nucleus to implement Shell’s global transformation process in the particular conditions of the country. As a result of this programme she has gained valuable experience in company transformation and culture change issues.

Marina Vergou

Marina Vergou, HR Director, Groupama Insurance

Marina Vergou is currently the HR Director at Groupama Insurance.

With over 25 years’ dedicated experience of working in the Human Resources with leading international companies, Marina started her career at Geniki Bank, with Societe General as a parent company, and got involved in “Training and Human Resources Development” as Head of Professional Career Management. She then moved to Giannidis Group (VITEX, HERMES) Chemical Industry as an HR Director, where she was responsible for the entire workforce of four factories and its subsidiaries.  

She is a renowned expert in transformation projects, change management, employees’ engagement & cultural shift and restructuring. 

Marina holds a BA in Sociology and later on, she completed the Executive Management Program at AUEB.

Maria Verouchi

Maria Verouchi, CEO, Edenred Greece

Maria Verouchi holds a degree in Business Administration and an Executive MBA, with over 20 years of experience in leadership positions within multinational organizations in the fields of technology and financial services. She focuses on business development through innovation and enhancing customer experience. 

Since joining Edenred Greece in 2015, Maria has led the digital transformation of the organization, developing and promoting innovative products and services. Among her significant achievements are the addition of Edenred cards to mobile wallets in 2019, the introduction of the first plasticless card in the Greek market with Ticket Restaurant ZERO, and the first multi-benefit card, MyBenefits, which is also available in plasticless form since 2023. 

In April 2023, she was appointed CEO of Edenred Greece, aiming to continue the development of secure and innovative digital solutions that enhance employee satisfaction and productivity, supporting HR professionals in their efforts to create a better working world for everyone. 

Stella Voulgaraki, Chief People Officer, Kaizen Gaming

Stella Voulgaraki is a seasoned C-level executive with over two decades of experience in dynamic, international environments. Her expertise lies in organizational development, cultural transformation, and change management. Stella has successfully driven transformative initiatives across diverse industries, leveraging her experience both as an in-house leader and a consultant.

In 2022, she joined Kaizen Gaming as Chief People Officer during a period of significant global expansion. Stella played a pivotal role in establishing a global People team, implementing a decentralized framework designed to align with the company's growth ambitions. Her efforts have been instrumental in shaping Kaizen Gaming's organizational culture and embedding its core values across all operational geographies, fostering a cohesive and high-performing work environment.

Petros Kolonias, Senior HR Director, Netcompany-Intrasoft (Graduate of MSc in Human Resources Management, AUEB)

Petros Kolonias is an HR executive with over 15 years of experience in fast-paced and global environments such as AstraZeneca, GSK, Coca-Cola HBC, Cepal, and Netcompany-Intrasoft. Having worked in various roles and leadership positions, Petros has implemented diverse programs across all HR domains, focusing on talent acquisition, employee development, recognition, and performance management, while delivering business value.

Since 2022, Petros has held the position of Senior HR Director at Netcompany-Intrasoft. He holds an MSc in Human Resources Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a BSc in Economic and Regional Development from Panteion University.

Renia Kremali, Group Human Resources Director, Saracakis Group of Companies

Renia Kremali holds a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, a Professional Certification in Human Resource Management from the Hellenic Management Association, and a Vocational Guidance Counsellor Certification from the University of Nicosia.

She currently works as an executive in the field of Human Resource Management, leveraging the 26 years of experience she has gained from working in multinational and Greek companies in Greece and abroad (including Procter & Gamble, Shell International, Esha, Toyota Hellas, and the Saracakis Group of Companies, Intracom Telecom), as well as her exposure to various work cultures and environments.

She views Human Resource Management as a cornerstone of any modern business and has developed specialized expertise in Organizational Development, Employee Training, Human Resources Evaluation, Transformation and Optimization of Business Operations, and the Creation of High-Performance Teams.

Anastasia Makarigaki, Executive Board Member, Further Up-HR

Anastasia joined PepsiCo in 2008. She currently holds the role of Senior HR Director Central Europe & Greater Balkans (11 countries), while also being responsible for Communications and Public Relations in Greece. Anastasia successfully led the alignment of the Food & Beverage businesses, the reorganization of the Beverages division in Greece, and supported the growth of the Balkans & Central Europe organization and the Eastern Europe Marketing categories in the field of Human Resources. She has played a significant role in achieving and maintaining the company's recognition as a "Great Place to Work" and "Top Employer" in the above regions.

She has experience in Human Resources and Communications from the industrial, retail and service sectors. She has been involved in start-up and turnaround projects which gave her the opportunity to understand the field of Change Management which is also her favorite area in HR.

She holds a Bachelor's degree and an MBA from U. Mass., Boston. Finally, she is a certified Coach according to the Co-Active Coaching Program.

Fragkiski Melissa

Fragkiski Melissa, Chief Human Resources Officer, Alpha Bank

Fragkiski Melissa studied Psychology at the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and has obtained a Master’s Degree in Industrial/Organizational Studies from Columbia University, as well as a Master’s Degree in Social Studies from the New School for Social Research. She has 25 years of experience in the area of human resources and recently joined Alpha Bank after spending 8 years as Human Resources Director at Vodafone Greece and Romania. Previous positions throughout her career include that of Regional Human Resources Director for Southeastern Europe at Colgate Palmolive, as well as positions of responsibility at Makro Cash & Carry and KPMG.

Iro Melliou

Iro Melliou, Human Resources Director, Vodafone Greece

Iro Melliou is the Human Resources Director of Vodafone Greece. She joined Vodafone Greece in 2016 as head of the Centers of Expertise department of the Human Resources Department.

During this time, she successfully led the design and implementation of initiatives related to the development of the digital skills of the company's human resources, the transformation of the way of working and organizational structures, as well as the promotion of issues related to diversity and inclusion. Hero contributed decisively to the positioning of Vodafone Greece among the 20 best employers in the country.

She holds a degree in Business Administration from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a Masters’ Degree in Management Learning from Lancaster University. Prior to Vodafone, he worked in the Human Resources Consulting Services Sector in a multinational consulting firm.

Angelina Michaelidis, General Michaelidis & Partner, Response S.A.

She worked in Information Technology, co-shaping large-scale projects (Insurance-Banking, Retail, Healthcare, Public Sector, and Industry). She began her career at IBM as a programmer/analyst and later transitioned into sales. She held high-level positions at Siemens, Wincor Nixdorf, and Hewlett-Packard. She served as CEO of NCR Hellas and Prohealth Hellas. She is a certified adult trainer, a mentor in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Athens University of Economics and Business, Panteion University, The Egg, Junior Achievement Greece, the NTUA PROM team (F1), an article writer, an author, a member of Boards of Directors and evaluation committees, and an accredited coach by Logos University, USA, as well as an Agile HR Certified Professional.

 

Konstantina Barka, People & Culture Director Greece & Cyprus, Coca Cola HBC

Konstantina Barka is the Human Resources Director of Coca-Cola HBC for Greece and Cyprus. Ms. Barka is a member of the Management Team and leads Coca-Cola HBC's strategy on human resources issues, focusing on developing people's skills and enhancing team engagement in a creative, inclusive, safe, and innovative work environment. She began her career at Coca-Cola HBC in 2013 as Compensation & Mobility Manager for the group's 28 countries, having developed extensive experience in human resources as an HR Business Partner and consultant at major companies such as Willis Towers Watson, Diageo, and Microsoft Hellas. In 2017, she joined the Coca-Cola HBC team for Greece and Cyprus as an HR Business Partner, significantly contributing to the implementation of pioneering changes for the company's work environment and strengthening the organization's human resources until 2021, when she assumed the role of People & Culture Director for Greece and Cyprus. She holds a Master's degree in Human Resource Management from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a degree in International and European Studies from Panteion University. She has also attended the Advanced HR Executive Program at Michigan Ross University.

Irene Panagiotakopoulou, Chief Human Resources Officer, Deloitte

Maria Savaki, Payroll Area Lead Central Eastern Europe, Mondelez International & President of the Alumni Association of the in Human Resources Management, AUEB (Graduate of MSc in Human Resources Management, AUEB)

Maria Savaki is the Payroll Area Lead Central Eastern Europe at Mondelēz International and President of the Board of Directors of the Alumni Association HR Society of the Postgraduate Program in Human Resources Management of the Athens University of Economics and Business.

A graduate of Psychology from the University of Crete and the Universidad Complutense of Madrid and holder of the Postgraduate Program in Human Resources Management and the International MBA of the Athens University of Economics and Business.

Her career began 9 years ago in the People Team of Mondelēz International, taking on different roles (HR Assistant, HR Plant Coordinator, Payroll Regional Advisor Europe, Payroll Lead South Central Europe) and having managed demanding projects in Greece and abroad. In addition, since 2024 she is holding the role of Payroll Area Lead, managing 17 countries in the Central and Eastern Europe.

Sotiris Stamatiou, People Director, Cosmos Sport S.A.

Sotiris Stamatiou has been Group Human Resources Director of the Onassis Foundation since July 2016 and Chairman of the Board of the Greek People Management Association (GPMA) since December 2016.

He has worked at Hellenic Petroleum Group as Human Resources Manager for Domestic and International Sales, at Interamerican as Deputy Human Resources Manager, at Shell Hellas as Station Network Manager for Greece, Italy & Bulgaria and at Procter & Gamble Hellas as Recruiting & Employee Service Manager. He has also worked at Shell in Istanbul for 3 months and at EIM in the Netherlands for 5 months at the beginning of his career.

He holds a degree in Economics from the Athens University of Economics and Business, a masters degree in Communication and has completed professional programs at ALBA, IMD and Ashridge University and was a member of the Board of Directors of GPMA from 1992 - 1998 and 2011 to present.

Athina Stavrou, People Director, Cosmos Sport S.A.

Holding a M.Sc. Human Resources Management (AUEB) and a B.Sc. degree from the Department of Economics (University of Piraeus). Now working for Cosmos Sport S.A as People Director. With expertise in talent management, organizational development, and employee engagement, aligned HR strategies with business goals to drive performance, growth, and a positive company culture. Experience in Retail, FMCG & Pharmaceutical. Passion for collaborating with high-performing teams and fostering a collaborative work environment.

 

Anny Chatzikonstantinou, Founder - Managing Partner, Boyden

Anny Chatzikonstantinou has broad capabilities in executive search and a strong track record in Technology, FMCG, Retail,  and Industrial Manufacturing sectors. Her business background spans over 30 years. In this time, she distinguished herself by helping clients transform through astute talent management and dynamic leadership. Anny works across functions, drawing on in-depth expertise in business development and marketing. With education in Greece, the UK and the USA on Economics, Business and Advertising, Anny has served as a C level executive, before founding Boyden in Athens in 2020. Anny speaks fluent English, French and German and has working capacity in Spanish and Italian.
