Tarantilis Christos

Christos D. Tarantilis is a Full-Professor of Management Science at the Department of Management Science & Technology of Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB).

He has served as the Head of the Department of Management Science and Technology, the Director of the "Operations Research and Decision Systems" group and member of the steering committee for four postgraduate programs at AUEB. He is also member of the editorial board (e.g. the "Networks" journal-Wiley) and guest editor (e.g. the "Computers and Operations Research" journal-Elsevier) in well-known academic journals, chairman and member of the scientific committee of international scientific conferences.

Prof. Tarantilis has sixty-six (66) articles in scientific journals evaluated by the Impact Factor metric, 18 articles in ABS “category four” journals, 28 articles in ABS “category three” journals, according to the Academic Journal Guide 2018 published by the Chartered Association of Business Schools (ABS) (http://charteredabs.org). In addition, his publications have received more than 5,430 citations according to the Google Scholar. Research activities also include collaboration in joint research work with members of universities in North America and UK such as Princeton University, Carnegie Mellon University, Imperial College London, Cass Business School, HEC Montréal, University of Bath, Polytechnique Montréal.

Both undergraduate and postgraduate/MBA students have recognized his teaching ability and this is well reflected by his teaching awards for more than ten consecutive years (courses in both English and Greek).

Prof. Tarantilis has participated in various research and strategic consulting projects both at a national and international level and he has been also acting as member of the Board of Directors in Greek companies and organizations.
