AUEB Mobility Consortium General Information

Athens University of Economics and Business, a pioneer in the effective implementation of student and staff exchange programs such as Erasmus +, has innovated once again by establishing an Erasmus + Internship Consortium with the participation of six other large Universities of Greece. AUEB is the Coordinator of the Group, while the Partner Institutions participating in the Consortium are (in greek alphabetical order): National Technical University of Athens, University of Thessaly, University of Ioannina, University of Crete, University of Macedonia and the Hellenic Naval Academy.

The main purpose of the operation of the Erasmus+ AUEB Internship Consortium is to create internships and future employment opportunities for students and recent graduates abroad, aiming towards the gain of valuable work experience, and to also offer teaching and training mobilities for staff (teaching and administrative personnel of the participating Universities).

The program is aimed towards undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students as well as recent graduates of the respective study cycles of both AUEB as well as the collaborating Institutions who are interested in doing internships in companies and organizations abroad, as well as administrative and teaching University staff  who wish to carry out training and teaching activities, and is implemented with the support of the State Scholarships Foundation (IKY).

Fundamental to the effective operation of the Erasmus+ AUEB Internship Consortium is the creation and implementation of standardized procedures at each level of operation, as well as the implementation of an integrated Mobility System, which fully utilizes the specific characteristics of each participating Institution, aiming to adopt best practices and promote the exchange of valuable know-how between the Partners. Also, among other things, the network of graduates of the institutions is fully utilized with the aim of creating new internship oppotrunities while the mobility of people with special abilities is particularly encouraged.

Great attention is given to the preparation of students and graduates looking for internships, as the Consortium offers electronic counseling support services on issues such as job search techniques, CV and cover letter creation, and recruitment interview. The counseling services are offered throughout the academic year and are available to students and graduates of all Institutions participating in the Erasmus+ AUEB Internship Consortium,

  • Erasmus+ Programme general information

Erasmus+ is the EU funding programme for education, training, youth and sport 2014-2020. Erasmus+ combines previous funding programmes in the sector, including the Lifelong Learning Programme (Comenius, Leonardo, Erasmus, Grundtvig and Transversal Programmes), Youth in Action and five international cooperation programmes (Erasmus Mundus, Tempus, Alfa, Edulink and the programme for cooperation with industrialised countries). This makes it easier for applicants to understand the opportunities available, while other simplifications facilitate access.Τ

IKY is the National Agency for Erasmus+.
