AUEB Quality Assurance Unit Participates in the University Presidents Meeting 2026

The Quality Assurance Unit (MODIP) of the Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB) participated in the virtual University Presidents Meeting 2026, held on 6 October 2026 and organized by the UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), under the auspices of the United Nations Secretary-General, António Guterres.

During the meeting, the particular importance of higher education in promoting sustainability, both through education and research, as well as through the institutional functioning and social contribution of Universities, was highlighted. At the same time, emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen international collaborations and knowledge exchange to more effectively address complex social, economic and environmental challenges.

The meeting, convened at the invitation of Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs, brought together representatives of universities from around the world and focused on the important role of higher education in advancing sustainable development and contributing to the achievement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

MODIP’s participation reflects AUEB’s commitment to quality, international engagement and sustainable development, while fostering the exchange of knowledge and good practices within the global academic community.
