Columbia University and the Athens University of Economics and Business are exploring possibilities for cooperation
Professor Alexander Cooley, Vice Provost for Academic Centers and Libraries at Columbia University, USA, visited the Athens University of Economics and Business and met with the Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Growth, Professor B. Papadakis, the Dean of the School of Economic Sciences, professor T. Moutos and professors of the School P. Hatzipanagiotou, G. Economidis and S. Blavoukos. The occasion of the meeting was the establishment of the International Education Center of New York's Columbia University in Athens.
Areas of common research interest that revolve around issues of geopolitics, immigration and international sanctions were discussed. The arrival of the Columbia Global Center in Athens creates important prospects for research and teaching collaborations as well as the joint organization of webinars and round tables on issues of common interest to the two Institutions.
