Delegation of the Chinese Tsinghua University at AUEB's Premises 

The Athens University of Economics and Business welcomed on June 13th a six-member delegation from Tsinghua University, China. Tsinghua University is one of the world's leading Chinese universities, ranked 16th best globally (Times Higher Education, 2023). The delegation was led by Prof. Zhang Chuanjie, Associate Dean of Tsinghua Shenzhen International Graduate School, accompanied by Prof. Zhang Yi of the Institute of Future Human Habitats, Dr. Vasilis Trigkas, Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow at Tsinghua University, and three senior administrators. On behalf of AUEB the Chinese delegation was met at the AUEB Senate Hall by Prof. Vasilis Papadakis, Vice Rector for International Cooperation and Growth at AUEB, Prof. Thomas Moutos, Dean of the School of Economics, Prof. Evangelos Vassilatos, President of the Department of Economics, and Prof. Georgios Economides, President of the Department of International and European Economic Studies. During this first visit of Tsinghua to AUEB, ways of cooperation between the two institutions were explored, with particular emphasis on the creation of summer executive seminars, executive education and the reception of Chinese students at the UBA. The two sides met in a very warm atmosphere and pledged to expand their cooperation further in the near future.
